Subway works

Within the geotechnical field and given the high degree of specialization required, subway works (tunnels, galleries, etc.) deserve special attention.

CSI has extensive experience in this field, both in the design and advice on the construction of tunnels (adaptation of construction methods, design of foundations and linings, ground improvement and waterproofing treatments, etc.) and in the study of the impact of these works on the environment, control and estimation of movements and design of corrective measures.

Some of the most outstanding works include the following: design and structural calculation of retaining walls at the Quito Mariscal Sucre international airport, the Vallejo gallery sealing treatment project at the Reocin mine (Cantabria) and the stratigraphic-geotechnical surface definition and preparation of the basic civil works project for the burying of 13 km of high-voltage line in Varadero.
